Employment : Part-time Contract, 24 hours per week / One Year - Renewable

Compensation : ($30,000 $38,000) annually and group benefits (Health / Dental, Life Insurance & Disability) after 90 days.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator for Quebec & Nunavut is responsible for organizing and promoting French second language activities, supporting local chapters and volunteers, developing communication content, liaising with stakeholders and governments, coordinating events and advocacy efforts, and providing operational support to CPF National. The role also involves managing social media, newsletters, and collaborating with partners to expand CPFs presence and impact across both regions.

Your main objectives will be :

  • Planning, implementing and promoting CPF activities, events and initiatives.
  • Helping to inform members, parents, and educators about the various resources and opportunities available to support youth learning French as a second language in Canada through our various print and online communication platforms, at public displays and advocacy meetings.
  • Advocating for French second language programs within the province as well as liaising with stakeholders, partners (educational and community), school boards and the provincial government.
  • Working to develop CPF community Chapters or Teams and support local volunteers in coordinating activities in those communities.
  • Developing local content for communications including a monthly newsletter, posts on the website and social media channels drawing on resources available.
  • Providing communications and marketing support for events and media relations.
  • Collaborate with the CPF National Network and follow operational guidance from CPF National staff, including support for financial management and activity reporting.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Part-time fixed term position (24 hrs / wk) until March 31, 2026, Renewal planned on a yearly basis, dependent on confirmed funding.

Starting salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications ($30,000 $38,000) annually. The selected candidates performance will be evaluated after the completion of a three-month probationary period. Eligible for group benefits (Health / Dental, Life Insurance & Disability) after 90 days.

  • Remote Work Model The CPF Network office allows a remote working model for this position. The ideal candidate would live in one of Quebecs major cities or surroundings such as Montreal or Quebec City.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with French second language programs in Canada.
  • Experience organizing events for youth (5-18) and parents.
  • 3 years work experience in a communication / event or project management / marketing position.
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills, adaptable and able to work well independently and within a team; experience connecting and networking with partners.
  • Motivated with a track record of taking initiative; autonomy, flexibility, and decision-making ability.
  • Experience coordinating content for member newsletters and managing organizational / company social media accounts and websites.
  • Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Publisher) and Web-based applications (WordPress, GoToMeeting, Zoom).
  • Relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

  • Candidates must legally be entitled to work in Canada.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required. The position will require occasional travel (2-4 times per year).
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector, member or volunteer-driven organizations, is considered an asset.
  • Supports promoting learning of both official languages and a bilingual Canada.
  • Familiarity withgraphic designprograms(AdobeIllustrator / InDesign) isan asset.
