Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Professional Practice team within Vancouver Community. The role will involve projects related to mental health and specialized substance use. Apply today to join our team!

As a Project Coordinator with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  • Support the delivery of Nursing education programs.
  • Set up working groups and facilitate focus groups.
  • Maintain all decision logs.
  • Manage project timelines and plans.
  • Collaborate with learning technology providers, educators, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Set up and administer student onboarding and record systems.
  • Report progress to the Director.
  • Demonstrate expertise in financial and technical review, evaluation, and maintenance of project documentation and management tools for VCH projects, enabling effective risk management.
  • Analyze and document projects to ensure organizational and departmental objectives are met.
  • Support VCH by maintaining supportive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with project teams and end-user departments on capital and operational projects.
  • Gather information, evaluate interdependencies, and assess risks through interactions with external consultants and other health authorities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of recent financial analysis and planning experience in a large, complex organization or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis, project management, and technical expertise related to the specific projects.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Technical expertise in project/process management, financial analysis, and business acumen.
  • Ability to respond effectively to partner needs and understand the impact of decisions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills for teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external partners, with sensitivity to diversity and Indigenous perspectives.
  • Recognition, inclusion, and support of diversity at all engagement stages.
  • Problem-solving skills and solution development.
  • Proficiency in word processing, graphics, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with critical deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform duties.

Additional notes: Hours may vary based on operational needs. Successful applicants may need to complete a Criminal Records Review. All health care workers must report vaccination and infection history as per Ministry of Health policy.
