Responsibilities:
- Uphold safety protocols and requirements throughout the project, incorporating safety preplanning into all phases.
- Participate in planning and scheduling using lean processes or Last Planner System (LPS).
- Attend preconstruction activities including design reviews, tendering, bid leveling, and project award meetings.
- Serve as liaison with Architects, Trades, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors, Project Staff, and Owner to resolve issues related to plans and specifications.
- Manage submittals, shop drawings, and assess contract drawings and subcontract information for conformance and conflicts.
- Assist in submission and management of Change Orders, including independent analysis and obtaining approvals.
- Conduct Quality Control inspections to ensure installations meet contract documents and shop drawings.
- Manage Require on Job (ROJ) Dates in line with the Project Schedule and lead times.
- Review conflicts, submit RFIs with proposed solutions, and distribute responses.
- Participate in project budget reviews and understand project estimates.
- Assist in project closeout, preparing final records including RFIs, warranties, as-builts, O&Ms, attic stock, and spare parts.
- Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and Additional Provisions (AP-1) documents for trade subcontracts.
- Manage Project Constraints Log and develop reports such as Submittal, Change Order, and Quality Control logs.
- Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with lean methodology and basic understanding of scheduling programs.
- Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Good interpersonal skills and desire to expand construction knowledge.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office suite.
