What you'll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Technology team as the Project Coordinator, IT. You will be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and following up on requests for information received by the team. The role involves making decisions on work methods to support resourcing, budgeting, planning, compliance, tracking, and other services. The Project Coordinator exercises independent judgment within defined procedures, provides technical guidance to project team members, and engages subject matter expertise on behalf of the team. The role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology platforms, processes, procedures, and governance models.

How you'll succeed

  • Coordination – Support Project Managers throughout all project management phases. Develop, manage, and control schedules, update progress, make mitigation decisions, and escalate as needed.
  • Tracking & Reporting – Monitor progress, assess risks, develop response plans, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Project Financials – Track and reconcile financials, resolve anomalies, update estimates, and escalate issues when necessary.

Who you are

  • Experience: 1-3 years managing all facets of IT projects, creating project artifacts, supporting project lifecycle, and working with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project. Strong communication skills and knowledge of SDLC and enterprise development.
