The responsibility of the Project Coordinator will be to successfully manage and execute a variety of internal and/ or external projects (scope, costs, timelines, revenue, etc.). Projects can cover any of the following areas: production site transfers, product development, supplier qualifications, scale up/down process changes, process improvements, system implementations, etc. The Project Coordinator’s responsibility is to assist and support the Project Manager to execute a variety of internal or client funded projects (scope, costs, timelines, etc.). Key activities include but not limited to; daily project coordination, active communication, tracking of minutes, actions, risks, and preparation of reports for senior leadership.

  • Facilitate in identifying and track critical path activities, risks, and develop contingency and acceleration plans.
  • Support in internal projects, client projects and/or government funding deliverables includes but not limited to scope changes, progress reporting, and time reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact on assigned projects/project activities from beginning to end of the project with accountability for project deliverables and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Coordinate meetings with Resilience teams, vendors, contractors, and other external groups as needed, including organizing all meeting materials and logistics that can include agendas, minutes, actions, risks, and others. All related documents such as agendas are to be provided in advance of any meeting, and meeting minutes within 2 days following the meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors, review and negotiate proposals for terms, conditions and assumptions which impact project activities and have business implications. Consequently, advise key stakeholders to converge to a joint team decision.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders and contributors including Manufacturing, Procurement, Technical Services, Quality, Maintenance and Validation Operations to facilitate execution work.
  • Facilitate schedule, cost, and monthly performance.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, documents, and reports using MS Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Ensure involvement and active participation in assigned projects and all levels within the Resilience departments.
  • Creates / maintains metrics in support of the reporting requirements.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in operation, engineering or project management within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceuticalindustry
  • Pharmaceutical Product Development or Commercial Operations experience
  • Good knowledge of Canadian, US, and European Good Manufacturing Procedures
  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal English) skills, as well as the ability to motivate and influence
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
  • Demonstrated, well developed analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience with biological products
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • University degree in engineering or science related field

  • Ability to be effective in a highly productive team environment and within high pressure deadline-oriented situations
  • High level of relationship building, judgement, problem solving, influence, persuasion, and negotiation for both internal and external clients
