Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. GTA, ON is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide administrative and technical support for a large-scale construction project.

You will assist the Superintendent to ensure drawings and specifications are followed and help manage schedules, manpower, materials, inspections and equipment. You will monitor safety and quality, resolve on-site problems, maintain cost reports to keep the project within budget, and communicate with Owners and Consultants to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• EIT or CET designation preferred.
• 2 years of construction experience desired.
• Experience on MTO road construction projects desired.
• Exposure to AFP/P3 Design-Build projects is an asset.
• Experience with road and bridge construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent on-site to ensure drawings and specifications are followed.
• Support planning and scheduling, determine manpower, materials, inspections and equipment needs.
• Monitor work performance to ensure safety, rules and procedures are followed.
• Identify potential problems and assist in resolving schedule difficulties.
• Maintain and analyze cost reports to keep the project within budget.
• Meet with Owners and Consultants and communicate concerns and company interests.
• Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials and quality control.
• Coordinate with project team, subcontractors and third parties; ensure safe site conditions.

SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

• Assist the Superintendent in managing work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications
• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained
• Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
• Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
• Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget
• Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control
• Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties
• Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. A EIT or CET designation is preferred
• 2 years of construction experience desired
• Experience on MTO road construction projects is desired
• Experience in AFP/P3 Design-Build projects is an asset.
• Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building

WHAT WE OFFER

• Expected Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
