Your role on our team:

In this role you will, assist with scheduling, documentation, and communication between stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, construction knowledge, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Provides input and supports the establishment of project initiation including the scope of resources, milestones, schedule, and budget of a project through the acquisition phase
  • Oversee project closeout, special attention to preparing & confirming documents, maintenance/warranty manuals, deficiencies and warranty work & any owner training, as needed.
  • Track and manage the project closeout program, ensuring all closeout documents are obtained and accurate.
  • Supports contracts and negotiates revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with consultants
  • Identifies, manages, and resolves project issues with the support of the team
  • Participates in regular project team meetings to share information, confirms issues are brought forward and that all details are addressed
  • Assesses project performance for cost, schedule, and scope, and communicates opportunities and challenges with the appropriate stakeholders and senior leaders when issues occur
  • Identifies areas in which changes to the project plan are required and suggests alternatives.
  • Analyses architectural plans and drawings, highlighting possible risks and opportunities for value engineering
  • Manages design review drawings and specifications while providing feedback on costs and practicality
  • Prepares progress reports and issues progress schedules to internal and external clients
  • Ensures regular quality control and plan accuracy inspections
  • Helps prepare and manage the budgets while tracking costs daily
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management

We would like you to have:

  • Post-Secondary Education either University Degree (ex. engineering degree) or College Diploma (Architecture or Construction Management Program)
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a high-rise construction coordination role
  • Detail oriented, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture of a project
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • Familiarity & demonstrated ability to follow construction methods
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture of a project
