Qualifications

Today is the day to boost your career! Pinchin is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Hazardous Materials / Indoor Environmental Quality team in the St. Catharines, ON office.

The Project Coordinator willprovide reliable, timely, and professional support to Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Operation Managers, assisting with the day-to-day coordination of project related activities. As a valued member of the team, you will do interesting, challenging work, solve real environmental problems, and make a meaningful impact. You will work closely with senior industry professionals to enhance your knowledge and help you fulfill your career aspirations.

A Day in the life of a Project Coordinator at Pinchin :

  • Conduct hazardous building material assessments of buildings for regulatory compliance, renovation and / or demolition purposes.
  • Conduct indoor air quality / mould assessments.
  • Conduct field reviews and air monitoring during hazardous materials abatement projects to verify contractor compliance with regulations and scope.
  • Coordinate field work (assessments, field reviews, etc.) with client-designated points of contact
  • Preparation of reports
  • Maintain, coordinate and monitor the hazardous materials group activities.
  • Assist with staff resourcing and planning.
  • Assist Project Managers with project tasks (schedules, document and data management, tracking, deadlines etc.)
  • Prepare proposals for review by the Project Manager
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Assist with accounts receivables and invoicing.
  • Communicate with clients and employees.
  • Create and distribute project-related correspondence.

What you bring to the Pinchin team :

  • Post-secondary education in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Construction, Project Management or similar
  • Three to four years of experience in the consulting industry or related field
  • Experience conducting complex hazardous building materials assessment and indoor environmental quality investigations of various types of buildings such as schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, residential apartments and industrial sites an asset.
  • Knowledge of building construction and / or demolition methods an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, time management skills and attention to detail required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs, prioritize client deliverables and meet required deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and proof written reports and correspondence.
  • Involved in training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Southwest Ontario
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours based on client needs.
