Job summary

A leading construction company in Vaughan is looking for a Project Coordinator in Electrical Construction. You will support project managers, maintain project documentation, and ensure project targets are achieved. The ideal candidate has expertise in Electrical Engineering and experience with construction projects. This role offers opportunities for growth and challenges in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of related experience in a construction environment.
  • Experience with commercial projects is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors with the project schedule.
  • Maintain document control logs and project management procedures.
  • Provide status updates on work in progress and assist with project forecasting.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and manage sub-trades.

As An Project Coordinator, Electrical Construction, You

  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
  • Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and bring to management's attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • You have related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
  • You have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
  • You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
