Summary: The main function of a project coordinator is to support program managers and project teams on a project. The coordinator ensures that no resources are allocated to unnecessary tasks and that all aspects of the project are completed as quickly as possible.
Typical Day in Role
Project Planning and Coordination: Update project plans, timelines, and schedules. Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are on track and deadlines are met. Assist in resource allocation and ensure that project resources are being used efficiently.
Communication and Meetings: Schedule and organize meetings, both internal and with external stakeholders. Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute notes and follow-up actions. Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders and management.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project charters, plans, and risk logs. Prepare and distribute regular reports on project progress, budget status, and resource utilization.
Risk and Issue Management: Monitor project risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Facilitate the resolution of issues by coordinating with relevant team members and stakeholders.
Support and Administration: Provide administrative support to the project team, including organizing files and documents. Handle logistics for project-related travel, events, and workshops.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
5 years project management experience of transformational projects
5 years of experience within capital markets or investment management
5 years of experience in a global distributed company
5 years with large scale projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Ability to keep information organized and confidential.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business or in a related field required
