The Project Coordinator, Architectural Cladding at Clark Builders plays a key role in coordinating the Building Envelope Scope of Work across various projects. This position involves collaborating with Project Managers to support operational deliverables related to estimating, take-offs, productivity reports, supplier and material research, safety, QA/QC, tool and equipment management, and field communications.
Reporting to: Manager - Architectural Cladding
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for aiding in projects requiring building envelope and cladding systems.
Participate in project start up meetings with team members.
Assist with tendering and estimating (Primarily related to specifications Div. 7).
Responsible for aiding in material take offs of building envelope and façade systems and cladding products for ordering purposes.
Review of specifications and comparison to confirm products and suppliers’ products selected meet specifications.
Review and submit shop drawings and product data sheets including revisions as necessary.
Assisting Superintendents with duties including QA/QC, Safety, Scheduling, Productivity Reports, Measuring and Ordering Products, LEAN, Daily Progress Reports, Material Deliveries, Meetings.
Assisting General Superintendent with field workers schedule, travel arrangements, accommodations flights etc.
Conduct weekly quantity tracking and bi-weekly productivity tracking. Colour code and track site progress on shop drawings.
Purchasing and delivery of materials, direct communications with suppliers and shippers to coordinate deliveries.
Assembly of material shop cards for manufacturing (sub girts, flashings etc)
Providing productivity reports and gathering real time data for estimating and progress feedback.
Planning and Scheduling (use of Excel, Procore, Project Scheduler).
Conduct document control on Procore – QAQC check sheets, As-Built documentation, Photos, meeting minutes and distribution and safety reports.
Coordinate and tack on site rentals (Tools and Equipment). Provide spreadsheet for tracking rental times and costs.
Provide project photos and communications for use in marketing and project development.
Participate in monthly safety meetings.
Increase productivity and workflow on site through use of LEAN practices.
Adhere to Clark Builders’ policies and procedures and aid others in compliance
Work and collaborate with all Clark Builders Departments
Skills & Knowledge:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Analytical thinker with ability to interpret information, understand issues, and provide innovative solutions
The ability to read, understand and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Ability to multi-task, organize and balance responsibilities on concurrently running projects
Qualifications & Experience:
A Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a construction related discipline is an asset.
Project Management Certificate Program is an asset.
Experience working as a Project Coordinator role for a Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional Construction organization is asset.
Practical experience using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam.
