Good Lands currently has an opening for a full-time Project Coordinator in our Remediation group; this position will be based out of our Pierson, Manitoba office but will require field work throughout southwest Manitoba and southeast Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work closely with our Clients and with Good Lands management completing initial spill response activities. Good Lands offers a flexible work environment, with time split between the candidate’s home office, the field, and the Pierson office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initial spill response activities including:
    • data collection using electromagnetic survey, GPS, aerial drone imagery, etc.
    • heavy equipment supervision and organization
    • soil and water sampling
    • acting as a liaison with clients, regulators and other stakeholders
    • daily time and cost updates; invoice and time ticket reviews
  • Preparation of technical reports
  • Completion of critical ground disturbance paperwork
  • Other field supervision and project execution may be required

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree or diploma required
    • The successful candidate must be a member or be eligible to become a member of a professional/technical organization (ie. Agrologists Manitoba, the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba or Saskatchewan, etc.)
  • 3- 5 years of applicable work experience in the environmental industry
  • Good working knowledge of computers and computer-based programs (excel, word, etc.)
    • Experience working with project management databases an asset (SiteView, Fieldshare, etc).
  • Strong people and program management skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Canadian oil and gas environmental regulations and practices
  • Knowledge of data collection tools and technologies (aerial drones, EM surveys, etc.)
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and pivot on short notice
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Possess a willingness to learn
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Be reliable and self-motivated, willing and able to independently execute projects
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
