Job summary

HDR in Vancouver is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and leadership in a wide range of administrative and project control tasks. You will help with cost development, scheduling, and documentation to ensure projects run smoothly from initiation to close.

The role requires at least an Associate degree with 1+ year of related experience and proficiency in Word and Excel. HDR emphasizes an employee-owned culture and comprehensive benefits across Canada.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative functions in support of our Project Managers and business group leadership.
  • Assist Project Managers with project cost development and approvals.
  • Analysis and reporting associated with project control duties including cost control, cost estimation, earned value management (EVM), variance analysis, schedules, staffing, and reviews.
  • Input project data into internal data systems.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of project management, quality, and safety plans, schedules and guidance documents.
  • Develop and coordinate contracts and subcontracts; coordinate reviews and signatures.
  • Order and monitor insurance certificates.
  • Create and manage project documents and files.
  • Schedule and participate in Project Reviews.
  • Prepare documentation and proofreading of technical deliverables and change orders.
  • Coordinate with HDR leads to track deliverables and schedules.
  • Organize and schedule meetings.

In the role of Project Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Take responsibility for a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative functions in support of our Project Managers and business group leadership.
  • Assist Project Managers with project cost development and approvals.
  • Analysis and reporting associated with various project control job duties such as agreements, cost control, cost estimation, earned value management (EVM), projections variance analysis, schedules, workload staffing, and technical project reviews.
  • Input project data into internal data systems
  • Assist Project Managers and task leaders with the development and maintenance of project management plans, quality management plans, safety plans, internal schedules, and other project guidance documents.
  • Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
  • Development of contracts and subcontracts. Coordinating reviews and signatures.
  • Order and monitor insurance certificates.
  • Create and manage project documents and files.
  • Schedule and participate in Project Reviews.
  • Word, processing, editing, formatting and proofreading of technical deliverables and project change orders or letter proposals.
  • Work with HDR task leads and team members to organize and track internal HDR deliverables including reminders and coordination with leads on schedule tracking.
  • Organize and schedule meetings.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
