Job description

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required to support a large-scale construction project.

Primary Scope of Role

  • Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained.
  • Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed.
  • Prepare project documentation such as contracts, permits, and technical documents.
  • Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems.
  • Assist in maintaining and analyzing up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
  • Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
  • Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety, and quality control.
  • Interface with project team, subcontractors, and related third parties.
  • Monitor and inspect project site to maintain a safe work environment and provide leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.

Position Requirements

  • 2 years of construction experience.
  • Experience on MTO road construction projects is preferred.
  • Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building.
  • Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
