Qualifications

Overview

Vertex is currently accepting applications for one full-time, permanent Project Coordinator. This is a full-time, in-office position based Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, as occasional work outside of regular hours may be needed depending on project demands and schedules. As a Project Coordinator – Industrial Tank Cleaning, you'll play a vital role in supporting the full lifecycle of tank cleaning projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting in daily project coordination, planning, budgeting, and execution
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and field teams to meet project milestones
  • Supporting development of safety plans, staffing schedules, procurement processes, and quality control
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation, LEM reporting, cost tracking, and invoicing
  • Attending project kickoffs and closeouts, and maintaining thorough project records
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing lessons learned
  • Maintaining strong client and vendor relationships while promoting Vertex’s safety-first culture

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or environmental services project coordination (preferably tank cleaning)
  • Completion of a recognized Project Management program or coursework is considered a strong asset
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with project management processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel to worksites and Vertex locations as needed
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, labor planning, and procurement is a plus
  • Flexibility is required, as occasional work outside of regular hours may be needed depending on project demands and schedules.
