Job summary

PAL Aerospace, based in St. John’s, NL, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support its Programs team. The role focuses on building stakeholder relationships, coordinating government funding projects, and maintaining schedules and reports.

Strong communication and PM skills are essential. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet milestones, and will assist in preparing status updates for senior management and clients.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business or related subject is an asset.
  • Direct work experience in project management preferred.
  • PMI/ PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, written and verbal, across staff levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Review government funding documents for format and content.
  • Plan, schedule and manage tasks for projects.
  • Assist with project reporting to management and clients.
  • Coordinate project events and communications to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain project data, reports and archived records.

Job description

PAL Aerospace is proud to partner with SkyAlyne , the prime contractor for the Future Aircrew Training ( FAcT ) Program —Canada’s next-generation training initiative for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) . This transformative program will redefine how Canada trains its pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers (ACSOs) , and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators (AES Ops) through a powerful blend of live flying, advanced simulation, and classroom instruction.

PAL Aerospace is searching for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Programs team preferably based in our St. John’s, NL .

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders for government relations with regards to government funding opportunities.
  • Review all government funding documents, reports and correspondence for format, content, grammar, edits, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance to government regulations and requirements.
  • Planning, scheduling and managing tasks for upcoming and existing projects.
  • Assisting with project reporting to senior management, external stakeholders, and clients.
  • Ensuring success of projects through the timely coordination of project events and communications.
  • Assisting in monitoring and reporting status of projects and progress against major milestones and assist with preventative/corrective action to ensure timely delivery.
  • Providing the necessary project oversight to ensure all deliverables are well coordinated and completed within the assigned target dates.
  • Managing and maintaining project management archived data and reports.
  • Effectively communicate analysis, including recommendations to Management, as necessary.
  • Producing data to support project coordination.
  • Acting as a resource for the technical aspects of projects and activities, as requested.
  • Coordinate and attend project review meetings.
  • Develop meeting minutes and capture action items for follow-up.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and proposing solutions.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Provide project administrative support as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Business or a related subject is considered an asset.
  • Direct work experience in project management is preferred.
  • Project management certification and/or PMP certification are considered an asset.
  • Experience working with internal and external stake holders of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with project delivery, execution, and use of project management methods.
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
  • Problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Power BI, and SharePoint.

Security Responsibilities:

Incumbent must be able to obtain the required level of Government of Canada Personnel Security Clearance.
