Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Coordinator in Montreal, QC to deliver complex field projects across Eastern Canada. You will develop scopes, schedules, and budgets, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and maintain site records while working in the office or field based on project needs.

Travel and rotation are required for certain assignments; you will collaborate with project managers and clients to achieve objectives, ensure health and safety, and support environmental stewardship while advancing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering/Technology, Mining Engineering/Technology, Environmental/Technology, or related technical discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive field-based construction, remediation, mining, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams in active site environments.
  • Working knowledge of project coordination, construction methods, environmental remediation practices, site rehabilitation, and/or civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience working in remote or northern environments is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional organizational, teamwork, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt to changing site conditions.
  • Self-starter and a willingness to learn and experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with willingness to travel and work rotational schedules when needed.
  • Bilingual English and French

Responsibilities

  • Develop scopes of work, work breakdown structure, project schedule, budgets for senior review.
  • Assist in preparing site-specific health and safety plans and work execution plans.
  • Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors for equipment, materials, and services.
  • Coordinate field work between subcontractors, material suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders to support successful delivery of projects.
  • Perform quantity take offs, estimation/forecasts, equipment utilization, data logging.
  • Monitor, document, and report construction and field activities with accurate project records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, consultants, clients, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate project progress, field observations, risks, and trends to leadership teams.
  • Contribute to outcomes supporting environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
  • Issue RFI, change orders, subcontract agreements, work orders, purchase orders, daily reports, and technical memos for senior review.
  • Resolve site challenges proactively while maintaining productivity, quality, and schedule commitments.
  • Work will be a mix of infield and office based.

Whether supporting environmental remediation, water treatment, mine closure, civil infrastructure, or other multidisciplinary projects, you'll work alongside talented professionals to safely execute meaningful work that positively impacts communities, the environment, and industry.

Based in Montreal, QCthis role offers the opportunity to work in the field or in the office based on the project. Travel and rotational work schedules will be required for certain projects.

Your Impact

Develop scopes of work, work breakdown structure, project schedule, project budgets for senior review.

Assist in preparing site specific health and safety plans and work execution plans.

Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors for various equipment, materials, and services.

Coordinate field work between subcontractors, material suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders to support successful delivery of projects.

Perform quantity take offs, estimation/forecasts, equipment utilization, data logging.

Monitor, document, and report construction and field activities while maintaining accurate project records and site documentation.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, technical specialists, consultants, clients, and contractors to achieve project objectives.

Communicate project progress, field observations, risks, and emerging trends to project leadership teams.

Contribute to successful project outcomes that support environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and long-term community value.

Issue Request for Information, Request for Change, subcontract agreements, work orders, purchase orders, daily reports, technical memorandums, and other reports for senior review.

Resolve site challenges proactively while maintaining productivity, quality, and schedule commitments.

Work will be a mixture of infield and office based.

The Skills That Set You Apart

Bachelors or Diploma in Civil Engineering/Technology, Mining Engineering/Technology, Environmental/Technology, or a related technical discipline.

3 to 5 years of progressive experience with field-based construction, remediation, mining, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

Proven experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams in active site environments.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,800 - $107,000
MB & ON: $73,700 - $101,500
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $73,000 - $96,900
