Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator supports the project management and construction team by providing administrative, technical, and logistical assistance. This role involves coordination across design, construction, procurement, and stakeholder management teams to ensure seamless delivery of project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers and Construction Managers in day-to-day operations and coordination activities.
  • Oversee road widenings, guideway works (multi duct, conduits), concrete works, and paving.
  • Track and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, permits, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.
  • Support the development and maintenance of construction schedules, procurement logs, and cost control tracking.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on-site.
  • Maintain organized project records and assist with document control using project management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore).
  • Support project reporting including progress reports, risk logs, and dashboard updates.
  • Collaborate with site teams to track work progress, material deliveries, and inspection/testing schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably on transit or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with P3 project environments and project delivery models is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Aconex, Procore).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for site visits.
