Description
Premier Project Consultants specializes in building design, project management, and development of multi-unit residential and commercial buildings in Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean. We are seeking a talented and passionate Project Coordinator with experience in residential building projects to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating building projects from start to finish while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review proposal specifications and building drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.
- Prepare estimates of the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for construction projects
- Perform quantity take-offs, material price lists updating, ordering materials and equipment, organize manpower.
- Establishing and maintaining the tendering(bidding) process with a variety of trades.
- Knowledge of modern building construction methods, materials, and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- In-depth understanding of residential high-rise construction practices and techniques.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and topographic drawings.
- Review the daily progress of the project and ensure it is financially on track and on schedule.
- Assist with subcontract negotiations and awards under the direction of the project manager.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in construction or engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum for 4 years of experience in project coordination in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with mid to high-rise residential.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and divisions of construction.
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
- Working knowledge of software such as JONAS, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using AutoCAD for estimating and design/drafting.
- Must have a means of transportation for site visits.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
