Our transportation business in British Columbia is growing and provides comprehensive project management, planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects. Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a Project Coordinator who is a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and who is eager to advance their career in project management. This role involves supporting our Project Managers (PMs) in leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transportation infrastructure projects through all phases of project delivery : initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and close-out. The position also entails supporting the Indigenous Relations team in executing effective and meaningful consultation and engagement activities with various Indigenous communities across BC. Your Key Responsibilities

Working With Key Clients

• Support the successful delivery of projects on behalf of our clients, as the client Project Coordinator, on various sized projects to meet project objectives and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
• Support the PM in facilitating effective project workshops (risk and change management, scope definition, cost estimating, options analysis, technical steering committee requirements, etc.).
• Implement and adhere to client procedures and protocols while also looking for opportunities for continuous improvement
• Provide project coordination support to the Indigenous Relations team on varying sized projects throughout BC.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining records of consultation and engagement activities with various Indigenous communities.
• Identify activities where Indigenous engagement and consultation should occur and support the process to ensure standards are followed and timelines are met.
• Draft written documents such as consultation letters, contracts, funding agreements, and other types of reports.
• Organize and attend meetings to represent our client to discuss matters related to regulatory processes, consultation and engagement, and community interests.
• As required, liaise with key stakeholders on behalf of the client using established stakeholder engagement processes
• Maintain detailed project documentation tools / records and adhere to project management processes with a strong level of ownership of project tasks and objectives
• Occasional travel will be required

Working With Project Teams

Provide support in project management services, including financial monitoring and tracking, contract management, change orders, and workplan development.

Assist in the development of status reports and other key communications with clients and the multidisciplinary team.

Develop, track, and update project cost forecasts; maintain project cost reports; develop and update project schedules; support procurement; and maintain document management systems throughout all project phases.

Prepare and distribute high-quality, accurate, and timely documents such as meeting agendas, meeting minutes, communication logs, action logs, decision logs, change management requests, and other required documentation.

Assist with implementing and maintaining records of consultation and engagement activities with various Indigenous communities.

Identify activities where Indigenous engagement and consultation should occur and support the process to ensure standards are followed and timelines are met.

Draft written documents such as consultation letters, contracts, funding agreements, and other types of reports.

Organize and attend project meetings, interacting effectively with project representatives.

Coordinate and participate in technical proposal writing and other business development activities

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Emotional intelligence to work with a broad range of different types of people, including, technical experts, government officials, legal counsels, Indigenous groups, public stakeholders, and other project partners.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Strong computer skills and literacy in scheduling, technical writing, presentation, and other software including MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams.

General understanding of project management tasks and the project lifecycle

Excellent responsiveness, attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in risk and quality management considered an asset.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.

Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field discipline with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience

CAPM or PMP is considered a strong asset

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range

Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 66,200.00 - Max Salary $ 96,100.00

Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 70,200.00 - Max Salary $ 101,900.00

Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
