Commercial Construction Project Coordinator

Job Details:

Pay: $26.45 to $31.25

Shifts/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM Start

Location: Gatineau, QC

We're currently hiring an Experienced Construction Project Coordinator on behalf of a Construction client of ours located in Gatineau, QC. Our client has been growing their business since 2002 and is on the move again! You'll be working under the direction of 34+ years of building experts! Within this role you will be integral to the smooth operation of projects, including but not limited to preparing drawing logs, and schedules, supporting the Project Manager, and submitting documents required for projects. We are looking for a bilingual candidate with 5 years of progressive commercial construction experience , preferably within the context of a General Contractor.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and updates project files/binders according to established model and issues to relevant recipients.

Using "project alert", opens the project, issues POs, prepares shop drawing logs and schedules of value.

Completes and submits required "upfront documents."

Supports the project manager in the management/distribution of plans, specifications, and other project documents.

Manages logs, tracks and issues submittals, site instructions, change orders, contemplated change notices, RFIs and other construction documentation.

Manages Change Requests and updates the CO Logs

Prepares and issues weekly reports (CO- RFI -Shop Logs) - for Site Meetings and PMs action.

Provides administrative support to the project manager, client, and superintendents during the correction of deficiencies.

Prepares monthly billing for PM to review and update.

Prepares/Assembles end-of-project binders. Issues initial email request.

Liaises with team and client as necessary.

Assists in project close-out, archiving, and post-mortems.

Qualifications:

Commercial Construction General Contracting experience.

Construction management software experience: QuickBooks, CMiC , Corecon

Valid G class or Class 5 license for job site travels

Bilingual Preferred

Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision.

Positive and collaborative attitude

Strong attention to detail
