Job description

Position Summary

Strike's Project Coordinator technical and administrative support to the Construction Management Team. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing cost activities, subcontractor alignment and estimating on construction projects of all sizes. The Project Coordinator analyzes, and forecasts project costs and provides detailed project information related to contractual schedule, scope and cost, recommending improvements or corrective actions for the project. The Coordinator also assists with identifying and the development of change orders.

PROJECT DETAILS

  • Projects located in the Fort St. John area
  • Local candidates preferred
  • LOA provided for non-local candidates
  • $500/shift travel allowance
  • Shift will vary with Client Outage schedule – 15/6 & 24/4


Core Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the Project Manager, liaise with the Superintendent and project subcontractors
  • Coordination of deliveries
  • Material receiving and inventory
  • Tracking of installed quantities & timesheets
  • Execute, prepare and maintain Project Schedules for specified projects
  • Assist in crew and equipment resource loading of projects
  • Assist in project purchasing
  • Bi-Weekly / Monthly Project reporting for Management/Client review
  • Support on-site crews with Change Management requirements
  • Capturing changes in scope of work, and updating schedule / cost estimates to reflect revised project scope
  • Proactively communicate project change management
  • Establish and maintain Trend/Change order log


Qualifications

Education

  • Applicable Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PDF editing software
  • 5+ years in Oil & Gas construction


Experience

  • Applicants must have industrial construction experience
  • Supervisory and quality control experience is an asset but not required
  • Bluebeam Revu experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • P6 schedule software working knowledge


Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Must be willing to travel for work and training
  • Must possess a valid non-GDL class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
  • Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous record-keeping skills
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction
  • Possesses an eye for detail
  • Proactively seeks and accomplishes tasks that lead to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
