Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Building Group on active construction projects in Canada. You will maintain shop drawings, track RFIs, and coordinate with subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers to keep the project on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of construction experience or equivalent technical training, and a working knowledge of scheduling and project management software.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and project management software.
• Ability to work positively within a team to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate shop drawings, track RFIs and changes.
• Review Subcontractor RFIs and coordinate resolutions with Consultants.
• Work with owners, architects, contractors and engineers.
• May manage one or more Subcontractors or a project portion.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with project administration and field work.

You As a Project Coordinator (Building Group) Will

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shop drawings, track the status of RFIs and changes
• Review Subcontractor RFI's and confirm accuracy prior to issuance to Consultants and try to work towards a resolution; coordinate meetings between Subcontractors and Consultants to resolve any complex issues that may exist; monitor and follow up for response in a timely manner
• Work alongside and regularly communicate with owners, architects, contractors and engineers
• May have been delegated the responsibility to directly manage one or multiple Subcontractors or specific portion of a project
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in project administration and field work for the project
• Conduct quality control activities, inspection programs and periodic updating of construction progress records
