Atlantica is recruiting for innovative and collaborative candidates for a Project Coordinator position in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As the Project Coordinator, you will report directly to the Director of Electrical and you will assist in the day-to-day administration tasks of the division.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Electrical and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:

  • Establish and build good relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner, exercising initiative and judgment to complete recurring assignments.
  • Complete quality and safety documentation, technical support for estimating, procurement, drafting, and technical reviews & design builds.
  • Assist with preparation of material takeoffs, estimates, budgets and fabrication schedules.
  • Liaise with partners, consultants and clients as required.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of Construction Plans to ensure that the proposed methods are economical, practical, and compatible with the field requirements.
  • Review and understand scope of work, project specifications, design instructions, and supplier information.
  • Analyze contract drawings in relation to construction method and sequence.
  • Maintain construction documents, perform take-offs and estimates for change orders.
  • Assist in various administrative and technical aspects of project management and will be responsible for creating and administering FIWP’s, test packages and hand-over documentation.
Who are we looking for?

Education And Experience

  • An Engineering Degree, Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in Construction industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and adaptable to other software applications as required.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Job Details

  • Permanent, full-time
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
