Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator supports the Engineering Department by managing technical and project-related activities. This role is responsible for overseeing project data control, tracking, and maintaining schedules, and ensuring alignment with key milestones. Additionally, the Project Coordinator develops, monitors, and manages project schedules to meet KPIs while effectively controlling budgets.

Duties And Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead assigned projects through project life cycle.
  • Efficiently schedule project timelines and life cycles.
  • Effectively control project budgets.
  • Issue and track Engineering POs for projects and monitor vendor timelines.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure project deliverables and requirements are met.
  • Coordinate and arrange the shipment of samples to suppliers for equipment testing, as needed.
  • Collect and compare information for contractors, coordinate project quotations, and establish contracts with contractors.
  • Oversee contractors during the construction and installation of new machines and equipment as required.
  • Schedule creation for timelines to meet SPI and CPI
  • SPI and CPI tracking and data collection
  • Manage and maintain project management software and associated data.
  • Oversee and maintain engineering document control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance (red tag, sign offs and statement of work)
  • Map and collect date for site layout to ensure AutoCAD accuracy.
  • Prepare presentations for project proposals and updates.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations and commit to ensure a safe environment for all team members.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Degree required in a technical field and 1 - 3 years of project planning experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/Experience of successful project management.
  • Computer aided design experience (CAD and or SolidWorks)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Electrical/mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Project management and capital project experience preferred.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Working conditions

  • Always work indoors.
  • Often wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, and beard nets, safety shoes and hard hats in construction area.
  • Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
