Job summary

A construction management company in Alberta, Canada is seeking an individual to oversee project documentation, ensure site progress, and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. Responsibilities include tracking material delivery, assisting in the tendering process, and communicating project issues. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work positively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Authorities procedures and information are properly documented.
  • Ensure site progress are met in accordance to the master programme.
  • Ensure all the latest details, information, drawings and documents are updated.
  • Prepare drawings and shop drawings in accordance with Manager's instructions.
  • Keep documents and drawings in both hard and soft copy.
  • Track delivery and quality of materials according to the construction schedule.
  • Assist in the tendering process as required.
  • Attend meetings to assist with project requirements.
  • Communicate relevant project information to clients and the project team.
  • Ensure client needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Explain project plans and specifications as needed.
  • Monitor and control the status of sub-contractors and project programmes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communicate ideas for improving processes to the team.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed about project status and issues.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all Authorities procedures and information are properly documented;
  • Ensure site progress are met in accordance to the master programme;
  • Ensure all the latest details, information, drawings and documents are updated in the office and on site;
  • Drawings, shop drawings preparation in a timely and in accordance to the requirement or instructions of the Manager
  • To ensure documents and drawings are kept both in hard and soft copy and in a timely and proper manner;
  • Track the progress of delivery and quality of materials in accordance with the construction schedule to prevent delays;
  • Assist in the tendering process;
  • Taking off and any calculation ONLY when required;
  • Attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements when requested;
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team;
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner;
  • Understands the project plans, specifications and explain plans and to all general workers, and/or clients when need to;
  • Monitor and control all sub-contractors’ and Project’s programme status;
  • Maintains positive relationships with Client, Architects, Consultants, Authorities, all Contractors, suppliers and any other relevant personnel;
  • Maintains an organized and safe work place;
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others;
  • Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations and report to PM daily on-site status;
  • Any other tasks and duties as instructed by the management.
