Arcadis is seeking a Project Coordination Manager for the Fraser River Tunnel Project in Vancouver, BC. You will coordinate multidisciplinary tasks, interfaces, and deliverables across the ESDC team, liaising with Engineers of Record, project controls, document control, and consultants.

The role requires a background in engineering or construction with strong coordination and stakeholder management skills. Experience on large civil projects and knowledge of Aconex/SharePoint is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, engineering coordination, project controls, construction support, or multidisciplinary infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project workflows, task management, action tracking, document systems, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience with reporting trackers, dashboards, meeting records, procedures, and management documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary ESDC tasks and support planning, assignment, tracking, and timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Manage workflow for RFIs, technical queries, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, material submissions, field change requests, non-conformances, and related items.
  • Review incoming items for completeness, assign to appropriate discipline, set due dates, and close out actions.
  • Maintain action registers, responsibility matrices, dashboards, and status reports for visibility of priorities and risks.
  • Coordinate interfaces between site, design, controls, document control, commercial teams, contractors, and consultants.
  • Support onboarding, mobilization requests, workload planning, and ESDC organizational structure maintenance.
  • Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking with project controls and commercial teams.
  • Organize and participate in ESDC, site, coordination, management, and technical meetings; prepare agendas, capture actions, and follow up.

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Coordination Manager to support the Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC) team on the Fraser River Tunnel Project in Vancouver, British Columbia. Reporting to the ESDC Lead, the successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary project tasks, technical workflows, resources, interfaces, reporting, and construction-support deliverables across the ESDC team.

The role provides a central coordination point between site personnel, technical disciplines, Engineers of Record, project controls, document control, specialist consultants, the contractor, and client representatives. It is intended for a project professional with an engineering or construction background and demonstrated project coordination, stakeholder management, and major-infrastructure delivery experience.

Role accountabilities:
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary ESDC tasks and support planning, assignment, tracking, and timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Manage the workflow for RFIs, technical queries, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, material submissions, field change requests, non-conformances, and related construction-support items.
  • Review incoming items for completeness, identify the appropriate responsible discipline or Engineer of Record, coordinate review assignments, establish due dates, and follow up through closure.
  • Maintain action registers, responsibility matrices, task trackers, dashboards, and status reports that provide clear visibility of priorities, risks, overdue items, and upcoming deliverables.
  • Coordinate interfaces between the site team, design disciplines, work packages, project controls, document control, commercial teams, contractors, client representatives, and specialist consultants.
  • Support resource onboarding, mobilization requests, access coordination, role allocation, workload planning, and maintenance of the ESDC organizational structure.
  • Support establishment and administration of project task codes, timesheet requirements, budget allocations, forecasts, and expenditure tracking in coordination with project controls and commercial teams.
  • Coordinate preparation and maintenance of ESDC procedures, communication protocols, responsibility matrices, review workflows, reporting templates, and project-management records.
  • Support preparation and coordination of technical and commercial proposals, scope requests, staffing plans, schedules, and supporting project information.
  • Organize and participate in ESDC, site, coordination, management, and technical meetings; prepare agendas, capture actions, and follow up with action owners.
  • Coordinate formal issuance of reviewed deliverables through Aconex, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, and other applicable project systems.
  • Support site activities, field reporting, and construction coordination as required, while ensuring that matters requiring professional engineering authority are directed to the responsible professional engineer.
  • Promote compliance with project health, safety, environmental, quality, information-management, and communication requirements.
  • Provide transitional support and knowledge transfer where required to maintain continuity between design, document-control, and construction-support functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, engineering coordination, project controls, construction support, or multidisciplinary infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project workflows, task management, action tracking, document systems, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, monitor deadlines, identify constraints, and drive actions to closure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical project teams.
  • Experience preparing trackers, reports, dashboards, meeting records, procedures, and management documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and collaborative project platforms.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project-management credential.
  • Engineering education or prior experience in civil, field, or construction engineering.
  • Experience supporting transportation, tunnelling, marine, bridge, rail, or other major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with Engineering Services During Construction, design-build, or progressive design-build delivery.
  • Experience with Aconex, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, Power BI, UniPhi, or comparable project delivery and reporting systems.
  • Familiarity with project budgets, task codes, timesheets, resource forecasting, and consultant or subcontractor coordination.

The salary range for this position is $80,080 - $120,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
