Job summary

Fluor Canada is seeking a Cost Engineer to support project budgets, cost control, and scheduling, ensuring control and integrity of work per contract.

You will participate in weekly cost reviews, develop execution and change management plans, and maintain schedules across management and project levels. A four-year degree and related experience are required, with potential international travel.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree with related work experience or eight years total experience if non-degree.
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors.
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of local statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for contract-defined work.
• Accumulate and compile cost data to prepare the project budget and track progress.
• Develop cost control/scheduling procedures and execution plan for a project.
• Participate in weekly project cost reviews and schedule meetings.
• Develop and implement a basic change management system for engineering and construction.
• Develop and maintain management, project and control level schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
