Job Title: Project Controls Coordinator III

Location: Edmonton, AB

Schedule: Mon-Fri (hybrid, 3 days in office)

Contract Length: 1 year

Job Description:
  1. Provide full Project Control Management, including cost and schedule development and control throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Assist Project Engineer/Manager with Project Scope Management by providing insights into scope definition, verification, change control, and financial health.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams, including Field Cost Control Analysts, to understand incurred field costs and stakeholder indirect costs, comparing against budgets and forecasts.
  4. Prepare expenditure profiles, workforce histograms, and cost estimates for projects and program forecasts.
  5. Support cost management across departments with estimating and internal controls.
  6. Track KPIs and work towards improving project execution.
  7. Generate analysis reports, graphs, tables, and presentations as needed.
  8. Develop templates, policies, and procedures to support project managers in implementing Gating Controls.
  9. Prepare project status reports with variance analysis for senior and project management.
Education & Experience:

You have:

  • A diploma, degree, or related construction or operational training/experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years (up to 10) of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Construction experience related to cost and scheduling controls of multidisciplinary projects, preferably in industrial construction.
  • Understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience with MS Office, Oracle or SAP; Power BI and EcoSys are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative work style.
