Job summary

TYLin in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to support diverse water projects from our Toronto office. You will collaborate with teams across Ontario, manage cost and schedule with Primavera P6, and visit clients, offices, and project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of project controls management experience.
• Understanding of scheduling processes preferred.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 preferred.
• Certifications with PMI or AACEI preferable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs required.

Responsibilities

• Supports project control activities across the full lifecycle of client capital projects.
• Participates in cost estimating, budgeting, cost management and control, scheduling, and reporting for water projects.
• Establishes, maintains, implements, and audits cost and schedule management activities in compliance with policies.
• Reviews budgets, schedules and costs to ensure conformance with scope, time and financial requirements.
• Reviews and monitors actual project performance related to cost and schedule management.
• Participates in logistics, delivery, and workforce planning with project personnel using CPM scheduling in Primavera P6.
• Reviews contractor baseline, updates and recovery schedules in Primavera P6.
• Attends project progress and schedule meetings and tracks contractor progress.
• Maintains liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Identifies improvements for schedule procedures, templates and products, and refers ideas to the line manager.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supports project control activities and resources in engineering through all capital project lifecycle phases on client capital projects.
• Participates in cost estimating, budgeting, cost management and control, scheduling, configuration management, and management information system and reporting activities within a water sector project/program.
• Establishes, maintains, implements, and audits cost and schedule management activities for projects to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and plans.
• Reviews, analyzes, and interprets project design budgets, schedules, and costs to ensure conformance with authorized scope, time, and financial requirements.
• Reviews, analyzes, and monitors actual project performance related to cost and schedule management activities.
• Participate in logistical and delivery and work force planning with project personnel, and incorporate into a CPM schedule using Primavera P6 Software.
• Review and provide comment on contractor prepared baseline, update and recovery schedules using Primavera P6 Software.
• Attend project progress and schedule meetings.
• Accurately track contractor work progress related to schedule.
• Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Identify improvements for schedule procedures, templates and products, and refer ideas to appropriate line manager

• Understanding of scheduling processes preferred
• Familiarity with and knowledge of Primavera P6 preferred.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $86,400-$110,000 for this position and local market. TYLin is proud to offer exciting career development opportunities coupled with a comprehensive total rewards package.
