Aecon Group Inc. in Pickering, Ontario, is seeking a Project Controls Co‑op for the CanAtom RFBR program starting January 2027. The role supports cost control, scheduling, and risk management for Units 5–8, with on-site exposure in a nuclear refurbishment project.

CanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future. As a Project Controls Co-op, you will support the project controls team in tracking, analyzing, and reporting project performance. You will gain exposure to cost control, scheduling, risk management, and other key areas of project management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in pursuing a career in project management or engineering. This is an 8-16 month co‑op opportunity starting in January 2027, located in Pickering and fully on‑site.
