A leading company in the cement industry is seeking a CCUS Project Controls Analyst for their Edmonton facility. This role involves overseeing project control functions such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, contributing to a groundbreaking carbon capture initiative. Candidates should have substantial experience in project controls and a relevant degree, with a competitive salary and benefits offered.
Heidelberg Materials is North America's leading supplier of cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt. We have hundreds of plants and thousands of employees across the United States and Canada. The company, previously operating as Lehigh Hanson and Inland Cement, rebranded in 2023. We are part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world's largest building materials companies.
Heidelberg Materials is developing North America's first full-scale carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) solution for the cement industry at its Edmonton plant. Up to one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) will be captured, transported via pipeline, and permanently sequestered in deep saline storage formations. This project includes a 120MW combined heat and power facility that will provide heat for the process and generate enough electricity for both the new and existing plant, with excess low-emission electricity exported to the grid. This initiative will help Heidelberg Materials and our customers reduce emissions and support net-zero carbon concrete offerings.
We are seeking a CCUS Project Controls Analyst for this new facility at our Cement Plant in Edmonton, AB. The Project Controls Analyst will lead and coordinate all project control functions, including scheduling, budgeting, contracts management, and risk management. The role also involves project document control and reporting. The position is based at the project office in Edmonton, Alberta.
