Hatch in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a Project Controller Student for a 4‑month internship starting January 2027. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will support offices worldwide from our Mississauga office, gaining hands-on experience in schedules, cost control, and forecasting.

You will develop skills in project planning, reporting, and data analysis while collaborating with diverse local and global teams, under mentorship from industry leaders.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, at an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Strong interest in developing a career in Project Controls, with exposure to project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, resource planning, and performance reporting.
• Basic understanding of project management principles and an eagerness to learn Project Controls methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and information management.
• Familiarity with project controls tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or other project management and reporting software is considered an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules to support planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and KPIs for project teams and management.
• Assist with cost tracking, budget monitoring, commitment management, and variance analysis.
• Support project forecasting activities, including estimates at completion, trend analysis, and risk identification.
• Assist with resource planning and workforce forecasting by collecting and analyzing labor hours and utilization data.
• Participate in change management processes by tracking trends, changes, and potential impacts on scope and cost.
• Help maintain project controls systems, databases, and reporting tools for timely information.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, estimators, field personnel, and stakeholders to gather data.

As the successful candidate, you will:

You bring to the role:

Compensation:

Range: $26.00 - $34.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
