As a Project Control Officer (PCO) in the Industrial team at Pomerleau Construction, you will define and manage cost and schedule control, risk management, contract administration, and document control functions. Working on large-scale projects—from $50 million to over $1 billion—you will play a crucial role in project integration and be accountable to the client.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a team of professionals, technicians, and administrators;
  • Lead the team to ensure quality and timely deliverables;
  • Validate project approaches when necessary;
  • Escalate decisions to the Project Director as required;
  • Collaborate closely with project function directors and external stakeholders;
  • Prioritize conflicting requirements among functions;
  • Understand contractual project requirements;
  • Define management plans, processes, tools, and methods in collaboration with the Project Director and team;

Support the Project Director with executive presentations, analyses, or strategic discussions as needed.

Supervise and support personnel such as:

  • Cost Control Manager;
  • Master Planner;
  • Change Management Manager;
  • Head of Progress Control Department;
  • Reporting Manager;
  • Contract Administration Department Manager;
  • Document Control Department Manager.

This role could be for you if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent;
  • 15 years of experience in industrial construction;
  • Alternatively, 8 years in project control in another sector plus 8 years in industrial construction;
  • Rigor, accuracy, and compliance with standards;
  • Ability to synthesize information and establish links;
  • Experience in team management;
  • Versatility and autonomy;
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, project planning software, and schedule analysis;
  • Familiarity with PMIS for major projects;
  • Fluency in English and French (written and oral);
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to the worksite.
