Current Job Opening: Project Control Officer

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Project Control Officer for our client. Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Project Metrics and Reporting: Gather information with different teams, track and analyze key project performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts, lead time, cycle time, etc.), and prepare regular reports for stakeholders. Ensure the use of consistent and accurate metrics across all projects to monitor progress, productivity, and risk. Provide detailed insights on project health and potential risks through data and KPIs.
2. Project Governance and Control: Support project lead structure (Delivery Leads, Product Managers) in creating and maintaining product and delivery roadmaps, tracking project milestones, dependencies, and timelines, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Provide risk analysis, highlight deviations from plan, and proactively recommend corrective actions.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Development Teams, and Project Stakeholders to ensure required deliverables are produced in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Maintain clear communication channels for reporting project status, risks, and escalations. Prepare project dashboards, status reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders as required.
4. Continuous Improvement: Support project leaders in controlling program-level issues, risks, and continuous improvement actions, monitoring outcomes, and reporting on progress. Collect feedback from project teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization.

Key Skills and Experience

Required:

• Experience in Agile Project Coordination, including familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks.
• Strong background in project control and reporting, with expertise in Azure DevOps and PowerBI.
• Proficient in defining and measuring key project metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down, lead time).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Preferred:

• Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
