Project Control Manager – McIlvenna Bay
- Frequent travel to the McIlvenna Bay project site in Saskatchewan is required.
Position SummaryReporting to the Vice President of Project Management, the Project Control Manager – McIlvenna Bay plays a key role within the integrated project management team. The incumbent is responsible for the effective control of project costs and schedules across all phases of execution.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work of a project team composed of cost controllers and planners.
- Provide strategic leadership and support in resolving complex project control issues.
- Analyze and validate control data to ensure accuracy, identify risks or variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Actively participate in project meetings and collaborate closely with the project management team.
- Compile, analyze, and present reports and dashboards that clearly communicate key performance indicators.
- Monitor and communicate changes in project scope, design, or schedule, assess their impacts, and support the development of mitigation strategies.
- Lead the change management process and recommend corrective measures as needed.
- Ensure effective coordination between project controls and other key functions (engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction), while upholding the company’s safety and quality standards.
- Manage the establishment and maintenance of the project’s cost, schedule, and progress baselines.
- Ensure systems and tools used align with corporate standards and project-specific requirements.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of physical progress based on approved rules of credit.
- Promote the consistent application of internal processes, procedures, and best practices in project controls.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including in heavy industry or major public infrastructure projects.
- Experience in mining construction and international projects is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Contruent; familiarity with InEight Estimate & Control is considered an asset.
- Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or another Canadian provincial engineering association) is an asset.
- Proficiency in French and/or English; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

Additional Information- The position is based at the G Mining Services’ office in Brossard, with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule.
