Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an experienced Project Control Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in cost management, planning, and scheduling.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and manage cost control systems to provide accurate financial information to project and company management.
- Prepare monthly invoices for clients in accordance with contract requirements.
- Review, process, and certify monthly invoices for payment in line with service agreements.
- Maintain payment ledgers and prepare monthly billing estimates and accruals.
- Facilitate the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS), collaborating with procurement, engineering, and finance departments.
- Analyze data stored in project management and cost control systems, creating visual presentations such as graphs and diagrams to illustrate cost status.
- Assist program/project managers in updating project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Interact with client counterparts and management to plan and schedule cost presentations.
- Develop project schedules, including resources and costs as needed.
- Determine schedule, estimates, and work scope to ensure deliverables are completed within budget.
- Maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts to monitor project timelines.
- Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project status against baseline schedules.
- Assess impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Report schedule status to project and company management, as well as clients.
- Generate graphical and tabular reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Visualize and report on buffers and contingencies.
- Manage schedule change processes for approval of modifications.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet client satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System, analyzing CPI and SPI indicators.
- Prepare project forecasts and status updates, providing corrective action recommendations.
- Guide and support team members in resolving project control issues.
- Attend meetings, document minutes, and track actions.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts.
- Manage electronic documents such as contracts and essential project files.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.

- Basic knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
- Proficiency with project controls software, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
- Experience with project management, scheduling, and cost management software.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver timely reports and meet deadlines.
