Job description

We are looking for a Project Control Cost Controller to join our client's team, located in Calgary, Alberta. The role will be a contract position, and all candidates must be able to work legally in Canada as an independent consultant.

Qualifications:

  1. 12+ years of cost control experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically in Unconventional Gas projects.
  2. Experience working with both EPC and operating companies; prior experience with a large O&G company is mandatory.
  3. Proficient in setting up budgets according to project Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and estimates, implementing Earned Value Management systems, change control, and tracking cost and VoWD.
  4. Ability to review and audit EPC contractor cost and progress reports, and monitor cost trends to ensure alignment with internal integrated costs.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with experienced stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a lean organization across multiple projects and deliver credible results within limited timeframes.
  7. Proficiency in project management and reporting software such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Hanna, EcoSys, PowerBi, SharePoint, etc.
