Job summary

Sense Engineering seeks a Project Associate / EIT to join our Building Restoration and Structural Engineering teams in Vancouver, Toronto, or Ottawa. You’ll be immersed in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, gaining hands-on experience across project phases while representing Sense Engineering with professionalism and dedication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Building Science, Restoration Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Co-op or internship experience in engineering consulting is a strong asset.
• Registered with or eligible for registration with provincial engineering association (e.g., APEGBC, PEO).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building evaluations, structural assessments, site reviews and investigations.
• Support project coordination and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and consultants to ensure seamless communication.
• Prepare evaluation reports, construction documents and project proposals.
• Represent Sense Engineering at client meetings and networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards.
