Job description

We are looking for a Project Analyst to support the management of manufacturing signals in an aeronautical environment. The person will play a key role in data tracking, impact analysis, process optimization, and coordination with various teams to ensure information reliability and compliance with deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

Signal Management and Integrity

  • Ensure the rigorous and timely integration and updating of manufacturing signals in the systems.

  • Continuously validate the accuracy of integrated signals and correct discrepancies at the source.

  • Ensure data consistency across systems (ERP, planning, purchasing & engineering).

  • Identify anomalies, understand their root cause, and trigger corrective actions.

Control

  • Hold responsibility for entering, maintaining, and protecting key dates.

  • Control and arbitrate any date changes to avoid unvalidated or unjustified modifications.

  • Guarantee date alignment between signals, the master plan, and execution schedules.

  • Ensure traceability of date changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.

Impact Analysis

  • Evaluate the impact of date signal changes on the production plan, capacity, and schedules.

  • Translate signal changes into concrete implications for planning and execution teams.

  • Work with planners to provide data-driven recommendations for prioritization and arbitration.

Specific Signal Management

  • Perform BOM "Bill of Materials" ordering: enter and validate order signals and ensure tracking.

  • Project Realignment: adjust signals and dates during reprioritization or changes within projects.

  • ECN Management: integrate Engineering Change Notices into signals and assess repercussions on deliverables and the master plan.

  • Temporary Offload: manage signals related to load transfer and measure effects / required capacity adjustments.

  • Other signals requiring intervention and potentially impacting the production plan.

Continuous Improvement and Standardization

  • Standardize, document & maintain signal entry and processing processes and eliminate sources of error.

  • Contribute to the automation and reliability of data flows.

  • Propose and drive automation initiatives (automated queries, smart alerts, dashboards) to reduce manual tasks and gain reliability.

  • Act as the team's digital innovation engine by identifying opportunities for simplification and process optimization.

  • Be part of CAE's transformation and apply new concepts impacting signals such as the integration of an MBOM "Manufacturing Bill of Materials" & others.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering or administration.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong analytical skills, rigor, and attention to detail.

  • Strong team spirit and good interpersonal skills.

  • Autonomy and respect for deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational sense and multi-tasking management.

  • In-depth mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with an ERP, preferably Oracle.

  • Problem-solving ability: gathering information, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

  • Familiarity with PLM or a BOM "Bill of Material" structure / engineering concepts.

  • Understanding of assembly sequences and critical paths.

  • Asset: reports via SQL, VBA, Power Query (M), Power BI.

  • French-English bilingualism required.
