Construction Project Administrator

Job Details:

Pay: $24-28
Shifts/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location : Gatineau, QC

We're currently hiring for an Experienced Project Administrator on behalf of a Construction client of ours located in Gatineau, QC. Our client is an established business since 2002 looking to expand its team! You'll be working under the direction of 34+ years of building experts! Within this role you will be integral to the smooth operation of administration tasks and project documentation. This includes but is not limited to, preparing various reports, supporting the management team, and submitting documents required for projects. We are looking for a candidate with conversational French and 5 years of progressive commercial construction experience within the context of a General Contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and updates project files according to established model and issues to relevant recipients
  • Opening of projects, preparing a schedule of values, issues POs, prepares shop drawing logs.
  • Completes and submits required "upfront documents"
  • Supports the project manager in the management/distribution of plans, specifications, and other project documents
  • Manages, logs, tracks and issues submittals, site instructions, change orders, contemplated change notices, RFIs and other construction documentation.
  • Manages Change Requests and updates the CO Logs
  • Prepares and issues weekly reports (CO- RFI -Shop Logs) - for Site Meetings and PMs action
  • Provides administrative support to the project manager, client, and superintendents throughout the duration of the project.
  • Prepares monthly progress billing/draws for PM to review and update.
  • Prepares/Assembles end-of-project documents.
  • Liaises with team and client as necessary.
  • Assists in project close-out, archiving, and post-mortems
  • Verification of invoices from subcontractors; Reconciliation of Accounts Payable/Receivable.

Qualifications:

  • PC and email proficiency
  • Construction management software experience
  • Valid G class or Class 5 license for job site travels
  • Conversational French
  • Commercial Construction Administrating experience
  • Demonstrative General Contracting experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
