Location: This is a office based position - working in the office 4 days a week (office location is our SE Calgary Shop), Fridays the Project services teams work from home (after the probation period of 3 months);

Position: Full-Time Permanent (hourly) hourly, but the expectation is a full 40 hours will be worked each week - OT acceptable as required;

Schedule: Rotational Schedule (4 days off in a 16 day cycle). As the position provides support to field crews, weekend hours will be required. The shift is flexible, as we have coverage to offset days off - but typically every other weekend a few hours in the morning for time entry (at a minimum) should be expected (essentially a 10/2 shift).

What we’re looking for from you – If this describes you, we’d love to meet!

  • Post Secondary or Trades Ticket in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a project coordination or support role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize and manage the workload in fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Technical writing skills are an asset
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

Accountabilities

    • Provide support to the Construction Management Team
    • Enter labor/equipment/materials costs into Viewpoint Field Management software
    • Create daily work tickets and oversee ticket approval process across multiple projects
    • Updating daily time entry data in project specific const tracking spreadsheets
    • Provide project support including preparation of purchase order requests, material requisitions and orders, progress reports, manpower loading schedules
    • Assist with coordinating site logistics such as camp/accommodations, site orientations, equipment rentals and returns as required
    • Review and understand project scope of work and work breakdown structure
    • Assist with compiling Progress Bills, 3rd Party Tickets and client progress reports, working in conjunction with the Project Controls team
    • Support field safety staff with tracking of stats and filing of documents
    • Provide document control back up and additional administrative support as required
    • Provide weekend time entry support as required
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Project Administrator / Field Administrator role
  • Previous experience in oil and gas construction
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with confidence
  • Self-directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player
  • High degree of competence, reliability and judgment demonstrated in all aspects of work
  • Excellent attention to detail required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with G-Suite an asset
  • Intermediate spreadsheet skills required
  • Previous experience with Vista by Viewpoint an asset
