Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Accountant to support full-cycle accounting for real estate development projects. This role plays a key part in tracking project costs, managing financial reporting, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy from project inception to completion.Key Responsibilities:- Manage job costing, project budgets, and financial forecasts
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR and general ledger management
- Monitor and report on construction costs and cash flow
- Prepare internal and external financial reports
- Support draw processes and ensure lender compliance
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with development, construction, and project teams
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of real estate development and construction accounting experience
- Proficiency in SAGE or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA designation or working toward it is an asset
Preferred:- Experience with residential or mixed-use development projects
- Valid BC driver’s license
