Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team in Cambridge, Region of Waterloo. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and forecasting project costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage billings, assist in audits, and contribute to project financial planning.
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting is required along with 3+ years experience. Familiarity with SAP and strong communication skills will be crucial to your success.

Aecon Nuclear currently is undertaking efforts to replace key components at the Darlington and Bruce Power plants as a part of each respective Life Extension Program to allow operation for another 40+ years. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, feeders, and steam generators as well as technical development, construction management and trade labour. Aecon Nuclear is also currently at the forefront of the next generation of Nuclear Power in Canada developing the construction plan and manufacturing details for the SMR facility in Darlington.
Reporting directly to the Project Finance Manager, the Project Accountant will be responsible for ensuring proper tracking, analysis and forecasting of project costs and provide job costing information to project management.
The expected pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,0000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
