Door to door canvassing in Ontario, CA with a progressive organization for working class people!

Higher Wages, Lower Rent Alliance is canvassing in support of progressive causes in Ontario, CA. This role will involve signature gathering, persuasion, and mobilization of voters.

Qualifications :

The canvasser position is an entry-level position. No experience with canvassing is necessary. Successful applicants, however, will have the following characteristics :

• Committed to advancing immigrants’ rights and workers’ rights
• Interested in / passionate about voting and civic participation
• We take the health and safety of our team very seriously. We strongly prefer that candidates are vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated before starting for the safety of yourself and those you will be working with.

Terms of Employment :

• The Community Canvasser position is a full-time position (part-time options available, minimum 3 shifts / week)
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• The Community Canvasser position is a temporary position from now until end of May / beginning of June.
• Canvassers with interest and demonstrated capacity will also have the opportunity for promotion to leadership positions on our canvass team.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $20.00 per hour for starting canvassers.

Schedule : 8-hour shift

Weekend availability

Our current canvass schedule is as follows (all times are subject to change) :

Saturday : 10-6 : 30pm

Sunday-Friday : 12 : 00-8 : 30pm

Wed & Thurs : off, but we will also be doing make-up shifts on those days
