Job summary

NOV is seeking a capable technician to assemble pumps, prepare components for testing, perform teardown and inspection, and prepare testing reports.

In this on-site role in Canada, you will operate a lathe, use cranes and forklifts, assist with lean, quality and safety initiatives, and adhere to a Foreman’s schedule including on-call duties. High school diploma and 3+ years' experience preferred; growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (asset).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (asset).
  • Overhead crane, skid steer, bobcat experience (asset).
  • CNC experience (asset).
  • Microsoft Outlook experience (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare product for testing and identify required components.
  • Assemble pumps per customer order or supervisor guidance.
  • Perform pump teardown and inspection and complete testing reports.
  • Ensure testing meets specified requirements and safety standards.
  • Operate a lathe and use overhead crane, skid steer, or bobcat as needed.
  • Paint and stamp stators per MO requirements; grind rotors after welds.
  • Contribute to lean, quality and safety initiatives and follow Foreman’s schedule.

Job description

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare product for testing; identifying correct components needed.
  • Assemble pumps as per customer order and/or direction from Senior Technician or Shop Foreman.
  • Perform pump teardown and inspection.
  • Complete testing and prepare testing reports.
  • Ensure testing meets specified requirements.
  • Operate a lathe.
  • Use overhead crane, skid steer, bobcat to move product or materials as required.
  • Paint and stamp stators as per MO requirements.
  • Grind rotors when welds are complete.
  • Actively contribute to lean, quality and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to a schedule set forth by the Foreman, including on-call duties.
  • Load, unload, and secure product on delivery trucks.
  • Verify truck load to ensure conformance with shipping documents.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and vehicle, yard, and facility maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (considered an asset).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Overhead crane, skid steer, bobcat experience (considered an asset).
  • CNC experience (considered an asset).
Technical Requirements
  • Microsoft Outlook experience (considered an asset).
