Western University in London, Ontario seeks a Programming Coordinator for Residence Life. Reporting to the Residence Area Manager, you will design proactive programs, support first‑years and families in residence, and coordinate joint initiatives with campus partners.
Required: Undergraduate degree (health promotion or education preferred), 2 years in Residence Life or Student Affairs, and strong communication, event planning, and staff leadership.

Reporting to the Residence Area Manager, the Programming Coordinator is a key member of the Residence Life Management Team in addressing the transitional needs of our incoming students. In consultation with other members of the Residence Life & Education and Residence Conduct & Safety teams, this role develops proactive strategies to address high-risk situations (e.g. underage drinking, mental health issues), through program design and delivery of educational awareness campaigns, as well as dry-alternative social programs for students in residence. The Programming Coordinator draws upon Student Development Theory to facilitate the implementation of a Residential Curriculum, which assists in creating thriving communities, and supports the best student experience for first-years, upper-years, graduate students and families living in the residences and University-owned accommodations.
Maintaining a strong liaison with campus partners, the Coordinator establishes strategic partnerships with colleagues on campus to deliver joint programs and initiatives that address divisional and University priorities. The Programming Coordinator also coaches the nine Residents’ Councils in handling joint social, wellness and awareness programs on campus, and provides oversight and guidance to the risk management, financial processes and project management aspects of the residents’ councils.

The base salary will be $67,680 - $96,590 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.
