Programmer Analyst (.NET Dev)

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Programmer Analyst (.NET Developer) to join a platform to ensure that parents have all the resources available to them to decide on early learning and childcare programs and services that fit their families and children’s needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Delivering and documenting new solutions or changes to existing solutions as per specifications.
2. Delivering solutions that integrate into or leverage existing enterprise systems.
3. Troubleshooting problems and delivering timely resolutions to said problems.
4. Delivering code following internal standards and industry best practices.
5. Delivering code that has been thoroughly unit tested.
6. Work closely with Senior Systems Analysts/Business Analysts to review functional specification documents.
7. Develop software according to the documented specifications.
8. Unit test and debug software.
9. Demonstrate completed software to business users.
10. Ensure software code is documented according to documentation standards and industry best practices.
11. Collaborate with relevant internal technical teams as required for technology-related issues and standards.
12. Report progress of work to the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Available to work Monday to Friday from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm Atlantic Time.
2. Able to attend onsite meetings in Fredericton, NB with 48 hours’ notice at no additional expense.
3. Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral) in English, including examples of professional communication experience.
4. University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
5. Minimum of five years of experience in programming, analysis, and system design.
6. Minimum of three years of experience with each of the following: .NET Core 3.1 or later, and Entity Framework.
7. Minimum of three years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
8. Experience with MS DevOps 2020+ including commenting source code and updating GIT and/or TFVC repositories. Other source control technologies also considered.
9. Minimum of three years of experience developing multi-lingual based software.
10. Minimum of three years of experience working in a team environment; includes details on team size, composition, and environment (e.g., agile, waterfall).
11. Minimum of three years of experience with responsive web design.
12. Minimum of three years of experience with Entity Framework.
13. Minimum of three years of experience with .NET Core 3.1 or later.
14. Minimum of three years of experience with Code First Development.
15. Experience with ASP.NET security, including authentication and authorization.
