We partner with select brokers to deliver tailored business insurance solutions across Canada. As part of the Tokio Marine Group, we are able to collaborate under a shared framework while maintaining autonomy and local decision-making.

We support Canadian businesses in taking smart risks by delivering practical insurance solutions and exceptional service through trusted broker partnerships.

The Opportunity

Join a collaborative team where accuracy, insight, and operational excellence matter. As a Program Underwriting Assistant, in this 1 year contract opportunity, you will manage core bordereaux activities across our binder management and policy administration platforms, including processing, validation, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Your work will help maintain data quality, resolve reporting and premium-related issues, and identify opportunities to streamline how work gets done. If you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and making processes better, this may be the opportunity for you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Map, review, process, and upload bordereaux reports for DUA programs, ensuring accurate data handling and successful system processing.

Data Quality Control & Validation

  • Validate data integrity, identify discrepancies, and upscale data issues to underwriting, MGAs, and brokers as needed.
  • Suggest reporting enhancements that strengthen data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

Data Analysis & Reporting Support

  • Analyze bordereaux data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and insights that support reporting, dashboards, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Process bordereaux premium transactions through automated uploads and manual entry, reconciling variances across bordereaux data, financial records, and system outputs.
  • Investigate and resolve premium discrepancies in collaboration with the Finance team.

Stakeholder Support & Issue Resolution

  • Act as a key contact for bordereaux-related inquiries, working with internal teams and external partners to resolve data, reporting, and processing issues.
  • Support DUA initiatives, special projects, and workflow enhancements.

Who You Are

You are organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a strong interest in data and continuous improvement. You are comfortable working with complex datasets and systems, take a proactive approach to problem-solving, and can balance independent, detail-focused work with effective collaboration across a team.

What You Bring

  • A university degree or college diploma
  • Strong analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize, interpret, and summarize large datasets accurately using Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, with advanced confidence in Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A self-motivated, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and build strong relationships across teams.
  • An interest in identifying opportunities to strengthen operational efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and team effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French language skills are considered an asset.
