Job Description
For a Program (or a Program family), involving bought-parts—Build-to-Print & Build-to-Spec, System & Equipment parts & services (referencing design drawings and/or specifications, as well as Program-related Non-Recurring Costs (NRC) / investments):
- Represent as the focal & interface for the Purchasing process within the Integrated Program Team (IPT).
- Ensure clear communication and respect for Program (IPT) & Production strategies within the global Purchasing team.
- Liaise, communicate & coordinate with the Purchasing Site Leader (PSL) & Commodity Buyer teams.
- Manage & ensure the Purchasing process complies with AS-9100, aligned with APQP & SAFRAN Group rules—application of APQP & DVI PPAP.
- Prepare Program Purchasing documentation such as Program Purchasing Plan (PPP), Program Work Package Agreement, Purchasing Roadmap, Program Overview, and other related activities.
- Lead the estimation process (RC & NRC) as Purchasing's focal, providing and updating the Purchasing cost evolution from initial bid to certification.
- Ensure contractual requirements are 'flowed down' from our Customers to the Commodity Purchasing team.
- Inform the IPT of the impact of SAFRAN Landing Systems (SLS) technical, contractual, and logistical requirements on suppliers.
- Complete all Purchasing actions timely to support the Program schedule.
- Identify and manage Purchasing risks related to the Program, escalating issues as needed per SAFRAN Group Risk procedures.
- Monitor key emerging & hot topics, ensuring relevant functions are informed and dedicated efforts are made.
- Communicate changes/constraints from the final customer to Commodity Buyers.
- Participate in Make or Buy decisions.
- Coordinate with Implementation Specialists for equipment industrialization.
- Update the Purchasing Program Dashboard and other specific Program reports.
- Understand Customer Service Spares Parts requirements and include them in negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with export control and offset obligations related to the supply base.
- For Build-to-Spec products, lead activities with Suppliers to meet all milestones during development up to certification.
Job Requirements
- University or College Degree / Diploma, preferably in Business and/or Engineering.
- Technical appreciation of landing gear and manufacturing processes.
- Strong Business skills, Analytical mindset, and Rigor.
- At least 3 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering experience, preferably in Aerospace.
- Team player with excellent communication skills at all levels, capable of simplifying complex subjects.
- Fluent in English; French is an asset.
- Experience in Project Management and transversal management.
- Ability to analyze and formalize customer requirements.
- Understanding of technical environment and customer expectations.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of purchasing administration and organization.
- Highly organized, rigorous, results-oriented, with strong conviction and relationship-building skills.
